Understanding The Top 10 Supermarket Vocabulary Words Week 3

Going to the grocery store can be exciting.  At Least we can make it enjoyable.  The best thing is to understand what you are reading and making the right decisions.

My passion is teaching and coaching. I am here to let you know that you can reach out to me if you need help.  These words will help you navigate inside a grocery store.  Have fun and reach out if you have any questions.

Review the words and the definition.  Practice throughout the week and next we will use them in a sentence.

Coupon - noun - a voucher entitling the holder to a discount off a particular product.

Change - noun - coins as opposed to banknotes.

Sales tax - noun - a tax on sales or the receipts from sales.

Purchase - noun - acquire (something) by paying for it; buy.

Delivery - noun - the action of delivering letters, parcels, or goods.

Receipt - noun - the action of receiving something or the fact of its being received.

Customer - noun - a person who buys goods or services from a shop or business.

Supervisor - noun - a person who supervises a person or activity.

Manager - noun - a person responsible for controlling or administering an organization or group of staff.

Barcode - noun- a machine-readable code in the form of numbers and a pattern of parallel lines of varying widths, printed on a commodity and used especially for stock control.
