Part 4 Travel With Confidence With These Top 5 English Vocabulary Words

In many areas of the country, we are in the middle of spring break.  In some regions, it is Holy Week.  But, the one thing in common is that many families take the time to enjoy a beautiful beach somewhere.  Hope you are planning on enjoying some time off as well.

For me this week means, working and planning.  However, I will plan a trip or two this year, and these vocabulary words will help me with my travels.

My purpose is to share with you words that are used every day in our travels.  I want you to feel comfortable and excited to learn new words. Some of you already know these words, but might need a little help with the pronunciation.  I am here to help.  For an English session contact me.

Did you get to practice the words last week?  We will practice this week with sentences. Feel free to make up your own.

Airplane - noun - a heavier-than-air aircraft kept aloft by the upward thrust exerted by the passing air on its fixed wings and driven by propellers, jet propulsion, etc.
“Did you buy your airplane ticket yesterday?”

“I called the restaurant and changed the reservation to eight o’clock.”

Hotel - noun - a commercial establishment offering lodging to travelers and sometimes to permanent residents, and often having restaurants, meeting rooms, stores, etc., that are available to the general public.
“If you want me to get a hotel room, I totally understand.”

Tour -  noun - a long journey including the visiting of a number of places in sequence, especially with an organized group led by a guide.
“The tour seemed to have attracted most of its riders from Colorado, California, Texas or some part of the west.”

Itinerary - noun- a detailed plan for a journey, especially a list of places to visit; plan of travel.
